This is the 3rd largest church in the Southern Baptist Convention among a list of 43, 000 churches. It is situated in the downtown region of Jacksonville and was founded in 1839. The church was originally destroyed in the Great Jacksonville Fire of 1901 but was later restored in 1903. This church is said to be ‘The Miracle of Downtown Jacksonville’.
