The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is a zoo which is situated in Jacksonville. Sitting at the mouth of the Trout River, it occupies 110 acres and is home to more than 2,000 animals in its collection. Opened in 1914, its main attraction is the Range of the Jaguar, which won the AZA Exhibit of the year award in 2005. The animals in the exhibition are native to Neotropical Rainforests.
