Biscayne National Park was once home to many humans and even animals and spans almost 10,000 years. Although established for its natural history, the park has signs of people and many ways which they used these lands and waters. Nearly every island here has evidence of use by the native people. There is an underwater shipwreck too which rests as silent witness to one violent moment in time. One can dive here to discover the people and places in Biscayne. At present, the park protects rare combination of aquamarine waters, islands and coral reefs.
