The Village of Key Biscayne is a quiet community which is surrounded by nature and is also close to the excitement of metropolitan Miami-Dade County. The population of this village as per the 2000 census was 10,507 people. As of 2004, this neighborhood population recorded to 10,324 people. The village is connected to Miami through the Rickenbacker Causeway, which was originally built in 1947. As per the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 3.6 square kilometers, of which, 3.3 square kilometers is land and 0.6 square kilometer is water. This village is also bordered by Crandon Park and such parks.
