John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park
John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park was established in 1963 and was the first ever undersea park which was created in United States. This park along with the adjacent Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary has 178 nautical square miles of sea grass beds, coral reefs and mangrove swamps. The whole area was established to protect and preserve the only living coral reefs in continental United States. There are facilities like camping. Swimming, picnic and fishing at the park.
