On N. Roosevelt Boulevard, running along the north coast of Key West, you can find some of the biggest and best shopping destinations on the island.
This strip includes the Key Plaza Shopping Centers, huge mall complexes containing almost every store imaginable. Tourists at these malls can shop at familiar and affordable chains such as Sears and J.C. Penny’s, or try on the local fashions of the Florida Keys at tropical clothing stores such as Caracol, which specializes in beach wear, summer wear, and general island apparel.
Shoppers can take a break and recharge their batteries with a meal at one of the many restaurants along the strip. The cuisine ranges from Cuban (Kim’s Kuban), to Chinese (Hong Kong Restaurant), and even barbeque from eateries such as Daddy Bones BBQ. The area also offers other dining options, such as the Key West Yacht Club Restaurant, for those looking for a more upscale dining experience.
