For dog lovers who can't bear to leave their canine friends at home, Higgs Beach Dog Park in Key West is the perfect spot for your pet to play and relax alongside you while on vacation. The park offers two general areas for dogs to play; one area is designated for dogs 25 lbs and under, while the other area is for dogs of all sizes.
The park has certain guidelines in place, for example, very small puppies aren't allowed, owners must clean up after their pets, and dogs must be vaccinated, in order to ensure the health and well-being of all pooches in the park, since the park is an "off-leash" play area.
The park provides a place for dogs to play and exercise at the same time, as being in a hotel room provides little to dogs in terms of much-needed space to run around and stay fit.
Higgs Beach Dog Park is easily accessible, as it has a good-sized parking lot, and is located right across from the popular and well-trafficked White Street Pier.
