Kissimmee’s Lakefront neighborhood has numerous sports and activities available for all ages to enjoy with Central Florida’s beautiful weather year-round. The Lakefront Park is the perfect place for families and thrill-seekers alike to visit for relaxation and recreation.
Known for its freshwater fishing, anglers visiting the area can enjoy fishing for large-mouth bass and redear sunfish on Lake Tohopekaliga. Water enthusiasts can also participate in boating, snorkeling, jet skiing and water skiing. There are also excursions available by boat to Cypress Island which offers visitors beautiful nature trails for hiking and exploring.
Those looking to get involved in a one-on-one game, the Lakefront Park has basketball courts, as well as a sand volleyball court and a newly-renovated playground for children. A picnic area with BBQ grills is also available.
Lake Tohopekaliga and the Lakefront Park are situated within walking distance of Kissimmee’s Downtown shopping district.
