Lake City can be described as county seat pertaining to county of Columbia, Florida, US. It’s also one of the principal cities of Lake City Micropolitan Statistical Area.

In the year 1958, Columbia Radio Society got formed. It was a constellation of ‘amateur’ radio operators who enjoyed ability of communicating across the globe. Radio club exists today as well.

Lake City lies at intersection of ‘Interstate highways I-75 and I-10. As per US Census Bureau, area of Lake City on the whole comes out to be 28.7 sq. Km; out of which 4.69%25 consists of water. Lake City receives rainfall of around 53 inches annually. Snowfall does not occur.
