Lantana town is situated in Palm Beach County in Florida. Its first and foremost settlers came after the end of the Seminole War during the Administration of John Taylor who was the president. The Lyman family founded this town when they arrived in 1888 and within a year, there were many enterprises like a general store and a post office too.

In 2000, the town population was estimated to be 9,437 people. By 2004, it reached to 10,389 people. In 2009, the population estimates to 10,141 people. Since 2000, it has had a population growth of 9.51 percent.

As per the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 7.5 square kilometers, of which, 5.9 square kilometers is land and 1.6 square kilometers is water.
