The city shares its boundaries with Tom’s Harbor Bridge to the west and Seven Mile Bridge to the east.Marathon is situated at (24.726310, -81.040327). The city covers a total area of 25 sq Km. Of this, 2.6 sq Km corresponds to water and 22.4 sq Km corresponds to land. The city has a population of 10626 according to 2005 census. The elevation is approximately 3 feet. English is regarded as the first language in the city. This accounts to about 78% of the population. 21% of the people have Spanish as their mother tongue. 91% of the residents are Whites.
