Melbourne Beach happens to be the most ancient beach community of Brevard County. It got established in the year 1883; thanks to a ‘retired’ Union General. Till the year 1895, pineapples used to be grown over here. However, later, freezing weather completely wiped crops; thereby ending commercial farming.
