The American Black Film Festival was previously known as the Acapulco Black Film Festival. The festival takes place annually and acknowledges achievements in independent Black cinema, designed to enrich the interest and exposure to Black films, and also to celebrate the cinematic work of Black filmmakers, actors, and actresses.
