Miami Metrozoo is considered to be the oldest and the largest zoological garden in Florida.
It is home to more than 1,200 wild animals and is the only such subtropical zoo in the United States.
Miami Metro zoo is open 365 days a year. The Miami Metrozoo is owned and operated by the Miami Dade County Park and Recreation Department.
The park has over 80 exhibits and is spread over 740 acres of land.
