The word Miramar stands for 'Sea View' in Spanish and the city offers a number of beautiful beaches, exciting family attractions, world class golf facilities, and fine dining in the large number of resorts and hotels in the region.
One can experience the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and Miami beach, yet in a more low key ambience. The Hallandale Beach which is located nearby includes the Gulfstream Park which is known internationally for its racetrack.
Broadwalk is a popular beachside area where people can enjoy recreational activities like hiking and cycling. One can enjoy all kinds of activities here from diving, swimming, boating and fishing to golf and tennis.
Miramar Regional Park is spread over 173 acres of land and includes grounds for playing football, soccer, cricket, basketball and more. The second phase of the park opening soon, is planning to open an Aquatic complex with a water playground and a beach area.
