Oakland Park can be described as a city located in county of Broward, Florida, US.
Oakland Park had originally been named ‘Floranada’ (combination of ‘Florida’ and ‘Canada’). It was forced to become bankrupt following hurricane that broke out in the year 1926. After the reincorporation of town, the name ‘Oakland Park’ was chosen.
Oakland Park city is being bisected by Florida East Coast Railway; that happens to run parallel with respect to ‘Dixie Highway’; via downtown ‘Oakland Park’.
