Situated geographically in the County of Marion which is present in the Florida state of the USA, Ocala is a city which has derived its name from the word 'Ocali' which means 'Big Hammock'. This city is favoured by the waters of the vast Ocklawaha River that flows from central Florida. This city is known for its springs and wonderful parks that can be found all over this place. According to a survey in which land was measured, this town was recorded to have a total land of 100.1 square kilometres. The census that took place here recently showed that this place has a population of 53,497 people. The people here are mainly Catholics and are engrossed in tourism activities. Sports are also followed here actively. The climate here is of two types namely dry and wet. There is high sunshine during the dry season with temperatures touching 40 degrees. The wet season experiences thundershowers and high winds.
