Downtown Ocala went on to experience continuous growth during the last decade of 20th century. In the year 1883, major ‘downtown fire’ had occurred; thereby destroying most of the area of downtown Ocala. Thereafter, considerable amount of reconstruction took place. Both- field data and archival indicate 3rd stage of downtown Ocala’s redevelopment.
