Orlando International Airport is situated to the south east of Orlando in Orange County in Florida and is the busiest airport in Florida due to the popularity of Orlando as a business and tourist destination.
It handled more than 36 million passengers in 2007.
The various airlines operating from here include AirTran Airways, JetBlue Airways, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines and others.
The airport has a main terminal building with 4 airside terminals.
Two of the airside terminals are undergoing major renovation and will have new electrical and mechanical systems installed. Work is expected to be completed in 2010.
There are several shops which are duty free such as gift and book shops, as well as shops selling watches, clothes, accessories and perfumes as well as many others.
There are passenger check in and baggage claim facilities in the main terminal building and customer clearance facilities at the various check points.
