Space Center is also called as the John F. Kennedy Space Center and is situated on Merritt Island, Florida. This is the US government installation which manages and even operates the astronaut launch facilities in America.

Moreover, it serves as the base for the three space shuttles of the country. This is a tourist destination and probably one hour’s drive from Walt Disney World. There are public tours for visitors who can get to see this center closely.

Though some of the area here are restricted areas, one can get to wildlife sanctuary, the Canaveral National Seashore and the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
