Tomoka State Park is situated on the banks of the Tomoka River. This 1800 acre State Park is just 5 Km away from the Ormond Beach. The Park is owned and operated by the department of Environmental Protection, Florida. The Park was established in 1946. The Park consists of American Alligators, West Indian Manatee and almost 160 species of birds. The park also consists of some seasonal birds. Canoeing, fishing and boating are permitted.

The South Tomoka State Park gives you the chance to walk where Native Americans once walked, living off the riches of the earth. Located on North Beach Street, just a few miles north of Ormond Beach in South Florida,
Tomoka State Park is a bird-watcher’s paradise, with over 160 known species. The Park also has a plethora of paths perfect for hiking and bicycling through a beautifully scenic landscape. Although there are no areas designated specifically for swimming, the park has countless other fun activities to offer for the kids, like boating, canoeing, fishing, and camping. In fact, the park has 100 campsites suitable for novice to seasoned campers, with amenities like picnic tables, grills, electricity and water. The park is also home to a museum that displays artwork, wildlife displays, Native American artifacts, and exhibits about Florida history. For a little bit of modern comfort amidst the purity of nature, a park store and restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, snacks and easy access to camping supplies.
Whether just visiting for the day our overnight, the park has perfect provisions for a comfortable and enjoyable experience with nature.
