Tourist Guide Pembroke Pines
The city of Pembroke Pines is located in the Broward County of Florida.
The ninth largest in Florida and second largest in the county, this city was estimated as having a population of 150,064 in 2006. It has a total area of 89.2 km2. It got its name from its location along the Pembroke Road and the many pine trees in the area.
Enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of good food, live music and other festivities at the city’s annual Art Festival that displays art and fine crafts and the work of local artists. It is usually held in March. College football’s Orange Ball is also held every year.
The city is blessed with a semi-tropical climate. It receives over 3,000 hours of sunshine and mild ocean breezes throughout the year. July and August have a high number of thunderstorms and elevated humidity.
Hurricanes might occur in late summers. Winters have low humidity and a lot of sunshine with tropical breezes.
