Pensacola Beach is an unincorporated community which is situated on Santa Rosa Island. This is a barrier Island and is located to the south side of the city of Pensacola. This beach occupies land bound by a 1947 deed which was from United States Department of Interior. This is administered in the public interest by the county. The beach is also vulnerable to hurricanes as it is situated on a low lying barrier Island.
