Port Charlotte is a relaxing slow pace town. Don't miss the Fisherman's Warf and the close beautiful beach of Boco Grande. There is a toll of a few dollars to get over to Boco Grande, but it is so worth it. The small town is so heavenly if you love the water. Swim off the shore any where open to the public however, do not swim anywhere close to the light house. Undertow's are very dangerous in that location and sharks have been sighted. Go see the light house it has a lot of history but just stay out of the water.
