Port Richey is a city in Pasco County and is named after Caption Aaron Richey who established the city in 1880. The city has an area of 7.1 kilometer square of which 5.5 kilometer square is land and the remaining consists of water. The 2004 census figured the population of the city to be 3,294. The natives are predominantly Whites, while other races too exist in minor proportions. Port Richey town has a lot of notable locations like the Port Richey City Hall and the Port Richey Police Department. The town has ideal tourist spots at Millers Bayou Lake and Rocky Creek. Downtown has three popular hotels. It has a number of schools, colleges and universities for the student community of Port Richey. The city has a tropical weather with summer temperatures varying between 50 F and 90 F with an average relative humidity of 80%25. Port Richey has got a number of tourist attractions like Salt Springs State Park, Oak Springs Travel Park and West Pasco Historical Society.
