MOSI is a nonprofit community based institution and also an educational resource which is totally dedicated in advancement of public interest, understanding and knowledge of science, technology and industry. The museum provides natural science exhibits along with education programs to adults and children. Opened in 1962, the museum was renamed many times and even relocated. However, by 1980, it was permanently open to the public. Till date, MOSI, as it is known, still continues to build on its existing exhibits and programs. It also seeks innovative ways to engage diverse audiences.
