Lowry Park Zoo is home to more than 2,000 animals housed in lush natural habitats. There are engaging interactive exhibits, which visitors get to enjoy closely with safe contacts with many species in the zoo. The Park has a new addition, the Ituri Forest. Similar to a jungle look, it has finest natural wildlife like zebras, elephants, crowned cranes and such animals. The zoo is designed especially for families to see these animals and their way of living. This zoo is recognized as a state center for Florida species conservation. The zoo operates the only nonprofit manatee hospital in the world and till date the hospital has cared for more than 200 manatees.
