Safety Harbor city lies in the west shores of Tampa Bay in Pinellas County in Florida, United States. The city locates at a geographical location of (28.004654,-82.695320). The city occupies a total area of 13 km2 out of which 12.7 km2 is covered by water and the rest by land. The city is situated at an elevation of 20 feet and falls under the time zone EST (UTC-5) and EDT (UTC-4). The city was incorporated in the year 1917 and as per the 2004 census of United States Census bureau the population of the city was 17,550.Safety Harbor is a small town with tree lined streets. The city is ruled by the City Commission and has an elected Mayor. The city is the home of numerous parks, marine entertainment and some well known museums. There are two public schools and one public library in the city. Most of the parks of the city are equipped with play grounds, shelter, rest rooms and tennis courts. Visitors to this city can view the beautiful shores of the Tampa Bay.
