This is an important place to visit in the city. The Museum lies in the vicinity facing the Tampa River. The museum rests on former the Tocobaga shell mound under the covering of the oak and palm trees. The exhibits in the prehistoric gallery of the museum, traces the history of Florida from the Paleo period. The exhibits include ossified remnants along with the tools used by the first human inhabitants of Florida.
