The Park was acquired in the year 1948 and is the oldest park of the county. This historically rich park holds the name of Count Odet Philippe, the introducer of the citrus culture to Florida. The park covers a total area of 122 acres. Most of the areas in the park are shaded by big oaks and other hardwood trees. The park is the ideal place to conduct a picnic. The park offers magnificent views of Old Tampa bay for a distance of around 1 mile, playing areas, fishing and a boat launching facility.
