Fort De Soto Park was named as the top beach of America by Trip Advisor, the online travel community. This beach was declared the number one beach in 2005. One can opt for a 2,200 foot of barrier free nature trail which is a self guided interpretive trail and provides access to nature to Fort De Soto Park. The popular time to visit the beach is summer and fall.
