Sanford city situated in Seminole County, Florida United States is also the county seat of Seminole County. The city has a total area of 58.5 kilometres square of which 49.5 km2 is covered by land and the rest by water. The city lies at an elevation of 35 feet and falls under the time zone EST (UTC 5) and EDT (UTC 4). The United census bureau recorded the population of the city at 49,124 as per the census of 2006. The city is an old resort and agriculture area and is also the home to the Seminole Community College, Delta Connection and some gardens. The city is a part of the Orlando-Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical area and lies along the Lake Monroe and the St Johns River. The city experiences a yearly average temperature of 15.8 degree Celsius. Maximum temperature can be rise up to 26 degree Celsius and minimum can fall down to 11 degree Celsius. The city is also the home to Orlando Sanford International Airport and the southern terminus of Auto train connecting the Eastern Seaboard travellers and their vehicles to Washington.
