Sanibel: Attractions and more...
Bailey-Matthews Shell Museum
Bailey-Metthews Shell Museum, as the name suggests, goes on to house a huge collection of ‘shells’ from ‘Sanibel’ and ‘Captiva Islands’ and also the others across the globe. This museum started off as a reference and information center for domestic and international students, scientists, shell enthusiastists. The other exhibits are inclusive of shell art, apart from uses o ‘mollusks’ in the form of food, and medicine.
Timings: This museum remains open between 10:00 and 17:00 from Mondays to Sundays.
Captiva Cruises
Natural history, nature, and ‘sunset cruises’ have been made available. Visits to Boca Grande, Useppa Island, Cabbage Key, or ‘Cayo Costa’ would take longer time. Fares differ as per distances. As such, those crazy about nature would have a great time in Captiva cruises. The happiness obtained through these cruises would stand no where in comparison to their counterparts.
