Established in 1979, the Barrier Island Group for the Arts (Big Arts) is located in Sanibel Island amid City Hall and the Historical Museum. The center offers an art gallery for exhibiting works of artists, a hall for concerts, various other arts and cullinary oriented classes, exhibits and workshops. Its mission is to bestow quality cultural and educational experiences to the Sanibel residents and visitors.
