Spring Hill is known as a census designated place (CDP) and is situated in Hernando County in Florida. Spring Hill also belongs to the Nature Coast of Florida and is in the Tampa-St. Petersburg metro area. Although it was founded in 1962 as a planned community, it had appeared on Florida maps as early as 1856. This census designated place is also home to lots of beautiful parks like the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens.
The population was estimated to around 92,144 in 2007 as per the United States Census. 2006 estimation shows the population to be 165,409 with most of the population being in the west side of the Spring Hill. As per the 2009 census, Spring Hill population is 93,809 people.
As per the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 54.8 square miles, of which 53.1 square miles is land and 1.7 square miles is water.
Spring Hill gets 52 inches of rainfall and there are 240 sunny days each year. July month is high with 92 degrees and January is low with 44 degrees.
