Starke lies at an approximate distance of 8 miles on the western side of ‘National Guard Base’ of Florida; and at 11 miles on the eastern side, and 6 miles on the southern side of ‘Florida State Prison’, ‘Union Correctional Institution’, ‘New River East Correctional institution’, and on the southern side of ‘Lawtey Correctional Institution’.

Starke receives rainfall of around 53 inches every year. Snowfall doesn’t occur. July proves to be the hottest month; with temperature of around 91 degree F; whereas January proves to be the coolest one; with temperature of around 41 degree F.

According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Starke was 5593; with its density being 324.2 per sq. Km.
