Hyde Park is a lovely little outdoor shopping center that offers a variety of shops and restaurants as well as events such as wine tastings and outdoor concerts.
There’s also a great farmer’s market on the first Sunday of every month from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
The space itself is lovely however more and more shops are deserting the place in favor of other locales and larger crowds. However the space, complete with a fountain, multiple levels, and a mix of residential, office and retail is a relaxing and beautiful place to spend some time. There are a number of retail stores—such as Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware and Anthropologie—as well as upscale boutiques and the architecture is really beautiful.
Unfortunately the shopping is not what it once was so it’s best to check the events page and head there for something in particular or just go and grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the lovely space around the fountain. And definitely swing by the farmer’s market if you have a chance!
