Tourist Guide Tavares
Tavares is a city located in central Florida in the United States. The population was recorded and found to be 9,700 as per the 2000 census but according to the census recorded in 2005 the population was found to be 11621. The city regularly suffers from tornados. The average temperature here is found to range in between 25 to 30 degrees. It has low to moderate rainfalls in the month of August and September. Due to low rainfall it is not suitable for agricultural purposes. According to the American Census Bureau, the city is supposed to have a total area of 7.5 square miles out of which, 7.1 square miles is land and 0.4 square miles of it is water. Out of the total population 90 per cent are from the White community, 7 percent from African countries and the remaining from other races. Because of this the major population residing here are Christians. The transportation facilities are quite good despite of the smallness of the town.
