Temple Terrace city is situated in northeastern Hillsborough County in Florida. It is adjacent to Tampa. This city is the third and the smallest incorporated municipality in Hillsborough County. It got incorporated in 1925 and the community is popular for its rolling landscape and has the most grand sand live oak trees in central Florida. It is also a tree city of USA.
It was named after the then new hybrid, the Temple Orange. And its original inhabitants were the Native Americans which were also known by the name Tocobaga.
As per the 2006 estimates, the population of the city was 23,405.
As per the Census Bureau of United States, this city has a total area of 6.9 square miles, of which 6.8 square miles is land and 0.1 square miles is water.
Temple Terrace experiences 57 inches of rainfall and 239 sunny days each year. Moreover, the number of days with any measurable precipitation is 106 days. July is known to be the highest month with 90 degrees and January month is lowest with 51 degrees.
