Nokomis Beach is situated on Casey Key and is a nice public beach having free parking provision, lifeguards, picnic tables, showers and also restrooms. There is also a boat launch into the intra coastal waterway along with a children ’s playground across the roadway. This beach is crowded at times and so it is advisable to get here early on the weekends. Along with the North Jetty Beach, it is difficult to determine where the beaches end and where the other begins. Nokomis Beach is the oldest public beaches in Sarasota County. A family oriented beach, it is popular for fishing, sports and picnic.
