Zephyrhills exists in Pasco County in Florida. It has an area of 16.4 square kilometer out of which 0.2 square kilometer is water and the rest is land. It is also called “The Friendly City” and “The City of Pure Water”. According to the 2000 census the population of Zephyrhills accounted to 10,833 people. There were 6,167 housing units. The city has 92.63% Whites and 2.79 African American and the rest a mixture of different races. The median income for the household is 33,100 dollars in 2005 where as the median income for the family was 33,502 Dollars. About 9.3% of the families and 12.1% of the population remain below the poverty line. It has two medical centers and a Baptist Hospital. It has three universities and four colleges. There are five schools serving the elementary, middle and high school grade students. It has a beautiful downtown shopping center called zephyr shopping center. First Christian Church is the only famous church in the city. It is served by the Zephyrhills Municipal Airport. The city has a tropical climate with temperatures varying from 50-90 F with an average humidity of 75%. Village Art Gallery, Artful Gardens and Zephyrhills Depot Museum are a few of the city’s attractions.
