The Georgia Museum of Art is the official art museum of the state of Georgia as well as an academic museum. The permanent collection here is made up of 19th and 20th century American paintings; Asian, European and American works on paper; the Samuel H. Kress Study Collection of Italian Renaissance paintings and collections of Asian art and southern decorative arts.
