The Peachtree Road Race is road race of 10 km, held in Atlanta, Georgia every year on the American Independence Day, July 4. The race can be viewed as a city-wide tradition, which witnesses the excitement of more than 60,000 amateur and professional runners for one of the limited 55,000 spots. It also includes a wheelchair race, the footrace and recently also has a special divisions for soldiers stationed in the Middle East. The race is also called The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race 10K.
