Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is situated to the south of Atlanta in Georgia. The airport is the primary hub of Delta Airlines and ranks among the world’s busiest airports.
In 2007 the airport handled passenger traffic of more than 89 million including domestic as well as international flights.
The airport is owned by the City of Atlanta and is operated by the Department of Aviation.
The airport has 2 terminals with large open seating areas, main security checkpoint, bank, ATMs, food and beverage outlets and more.
The Hartsfield Jackson Development Program has plans to modernize and expand the airport facilities.
The airport is easily accessible by the local trains and buses run by the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority.
There are free airport shuttles available to the terminal and a spacious car park provided with hourly parking system.
