Do not attempt driving in Atlanta especially on the highway as people do not adhere to the rules and drive rashly at high speeds causing accidents. Avoid visiting the downtown areas especially after it is dark as there can be instances of theft and shoot outs.

Some places such as Vine City is known for drug trafficking and is a complete no no. Although other areas of Atlanta are safe in the day it is best to visit places in groups as Atlanta is the 3rd most dangerous cities in the US.

Avoid lending money to street people and learn to say no else you would end up paying a lot. If you visit Atlanta in the summer, be prepared to face a hot and humid weather and remember to drink a lot of water to prevent dehydration.
