This courthouse goes on to serve in the form of an event facility. DHS, i.e. DeKalb Historical Society; that had been established in the year 1947; looks after this courthouse. This society is one amongst the largest historical societies all over Georgia; with membership of around 1200. Decatur Historical Courthouse came in to existence after establishment of DeKalb History Center in the year 2003.
