Grovetown city is located in Columbia County, in Georgia of United States. This forms the part of Augusta, Georgia Metropolitan area.

Earlier there was a controversy about the County that Grovetown belong to Columbia County or Apple County. But later on it was decided that Grove town belong to Columbia County and was named after Christopher Columbia.  Grovetown was incorporated as activity in the year 1881. Earlier the town was also known as “Belair, Georgia” due to the construction Georgia Railroad.

With a mixed races the place is has reflects a cultural diversity that can also be seen in dining and wining. This city also has various cultural centers and historical sites that are worth visiting. With these there are also recreational activities that attract the tourists throughout the world.

Visitors can experience a warm climate and can visit at any time of the year.

The population of this place comes to 6,089 according to 2000 census.
