Another interesting site is the Smithgall Woods Conservation Area, which offers activities like nature trail hiking, cycling and trout fishing. For history and romance visit the Romeo and Juliet Indian Mound Tragedy Site. According to legend two lovers from opposing tribes are buried at this Nacoochee Indian mound.
Catch weekend performances at the Remember When Theater. The city hosts the annual Oktoberfest that offers concerts, shopping and a variety of German food and beer. The breathtaking Anna Ruby Falls is also a major attraction in Helen.
