The Kennesaw Mountain is the biggest attraction in the city. Offering visitors a number of hiking trails is the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, a Civil War battle site. The park also houses a museum of note. Another museum worth visiting is the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History, which features exhibits related to the Civil War as well the Glover Locomotive Works.
Art lovers should visit the Kennesaw State University Fine Arts Gallery, which houses contemporary art from both national and international artists; also on display are the photographic and artistic works of the students and faculty of the university. Also visit the Sturgis Art Gallery, while on campus.
The adventurous should attempt some rock climbing at the Escalade Indoor Climbing Gym. Also try sailing at the South Winds Sailing Club, which organises parties, races and other events as well.Related Contents
