Dalton 9
Dalton is an alright place. Full of people from many different back grounds and social varieties. Small town feel with several arts and crafts venues, plenty of shopping and restaurants, historical points of interest, and friendly people. Not much in the way of public transportation except taxi services and a small transport company for disadvantaged/disabled. Safety in Dalton is pretty good. Improvements could be made, but every city is going to have som of those odd ball moments and people :) Dalton is affordable on just about any budget because of the variety of public places throughout the city.

Macon 6
Macon is a business city, there is very little entertainment facilities such as museums. There are plenty places to shop, such as three Walmarts, two Krogers, a Sam's Club, and a huge mall. Crime rates are very high in Macon, though. Streets such as Monpellier Avenue, Pio Nono Avenue, and Gray Highway are considered very dangerous. There are plentiful hotels and motels, though, making Macon a great place to stay a night on your way somewhere else.
